Set Your Intention for Well-being and Joy

Set your intention for Well-being and Joy

There is a quote from neuroscientist Dan Siegel:

“[W]hen you get in touch with your intention to develop more well-being and joy, your brain is primed to look for opportunities that will support it.”

It’s like when your friend shows you her brand new red Mini Cooper, and you see red Mini Coopers everywhere you go. The same can be true of opportunities for well-being and joy.

We all know how easy it is to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to prioritize our wellness. But by setting an intention to seek out and embrace moments of joy, you're training your brain to actively seek out opportunities to feel good without much extra effort.

So, why not try it this week? Take a moment to set an intention for more well-being and joy in your life and see what you start to notice. Maybe it's a few extra minutes spent in nature each day or simply making time for a cup of tea.

I’d love to hear what you come up with.

Feel free to email me at [email protected]

Here's to a week full of happiness, laughter, and all the good things life offers!

Cheers,

Terry

Set your intention for well-being and joy.

Hi,

There is a quote from neuroscientist Dan Siegel:

“[W]hen you get in touch with your intention to develop more well-being and joy, your brain is primed to look for opportunities that will support it.”

It’s like when your friend shows you her brand new red Mini Cooper, and you see red Mini Coopers everywhere you go. The same can be true of opportunities for well-being and joy.

It’s easy to get bogged down by the stresses of everyday life and the stresses of the world. However, when you set an intention to prioritize your well-being and cultivate joy in your life, your brain becomes attuned to seeking out opportunities that will support that goal.

Whether it’s spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, you can begin to notice and act upon opportunities to be present and joyful throughout your week.

Try it this week: create an intention for more well-being and joy, and see what you begin to notice. Where are there easy opportunities to add greater well-being and joy to your life?
